Okay, before we get too friendly let’s get something out of the way. Robin Paul isn’t a real person. If you stopped by the front page of our website you already know that. If you missed it, sorry for the surprise. Take a moment now to jump over and meet the people behind Robin Paul. Are we all on the same page now? Good. Please keep reading. When we decided to collaborate we actually gave ourselves titles, but they seemed kind of dumb so we left them off our new business cards. Robin is our Chief Romance Officer. She earned that title by being an awesome wife and by watching Hallmark movies nonstop from October through January. She has dragged Paul to a gazillion chick flicks by promising him the large tub of popcorn. Paul loves popcorn. A lot. His title is Director of Words. His vocabulary is endless. Robin has to remind him sometimes to tone it down. Not everyone uses words like extemporaneous or commonsensical. Paul does. And he doesn’t mind tossing them in with his order of long ends and fries at Arthur Bryant’s Barbeque. Paul loves barbeque. Alison loves barbeque too. When she was being tested for kindergarten, they asked what her three favorite foods were. Her answer? Burnt ends, ribs, and brisket. Alison is Robin Paul’s Counselor of Cool, because she’s young and keeps up on trends that Paul and Robin miss. Plus, she lives in New Jersey which is right next to New York where everything is cool. We came together to write books. Romance novels. Romance novels that we hope sell thousands of copies and get made into box office hits starring Bradley Cooper, Taye Diggs, Scarlett Johansson, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts, and LaKeith Stanfield. Maybe not all in the same movie, but if it works out that way we’re good with it. Our books are a collaboration. Paul has lots of story ideas, but many of them involve people getting killed or some little piece of history that no one has heard about. Robin shoots those ideas down. When one of Paul’s ideas has potential, like the plot of our debut romance, Christmas Presence, Robin helps flesh it out, then sends Paul to his office to write his daily quota of 1500 words. They currently have two books in production in addition to Christmas Presence – a sweet May/December romance set at the Delaware shore and a really cool holiday romance about a world-famous country singer and a small-town pharmacist. Trust us, you’ll love them both. While all that is going on Alison keeps you up to date on new releases, contests, and special events. Our website is her thing. She also posts stuff on Facebook and Instagram. And makes sure that Paul doesn’t use old guy expressions like kick up your heels or long in the tooth. Can you imagine Bradley Cooper saying kick up your heels? Neither can we. That’s why we have Alison. Our plan is to release two romances a year. Maybe three if Robin can get Paul away from Facebook and baseball long enough to write. One will be a holiday story, the other a summer beach read. And you are part of all of this. We want to get to know you, so if you see something on Instagram that you like, let us know. Maybe you have questions, like what is Alison’s favorite New Jersey restaurant (Anthony and Sons in Succasunna), Robin’s favorite movie (Pretty Woman), or Paul’s favorite sports team (Tampa Bay Rays). Just ask. We’ll do our part to keep you involved in what’s going on and may even include your name in a book along the way. You can’t be the romantic lead, but maybe the best friend’s mother’s neighbor. Or the romantic lead’s electrician. That’s it for now. Check back and be sure to watch for the debut of Christmas Presence in October. You can pre-order now by going here. Thanks for reading! A few of our favorite things.
